Geemarc Amplified Doorbell and Alert to A Ringing Telephone - Amplicall 20

 

 
AMPLICALL 20 – DOORBELL AND TELEPHONE RING AMPLIFIER
 
Installation – Please refer to the diagram on P3 of the user guide
 
When opening the box you will find:
 
  • 1 x Amplicall 20 unit
  • 1 x table mounting unit,
  • 1 x double ended RJ11 cord
  • 1 x telephone line cord
  • 4 x screws and raw plugs (2 for the bell push, 2 for wall mounting the Amplicall 16
  • 1 x Self adhesive pad for attaching the bell push
  • A/C Power adaptor
 
A shaker is shown in the User Guide as an optional extra.  Take one in our Special Shaker Offer - Accessories
 
To connect the Amplicall 20:
 
The telephone line cord and the RJ11 line can now be inserted into the unit.
 
  • Connect the white BT connection into the telephone socket on your wall.
  •  
  • Connect the clear RJ11 connector into the back of the Amplicall 20 into either of the sockets marked with the picture of the telephone.
  •  
  • Connect the lead, that has a transparent RJ11 connection on each end, into the remaining socket on the Amplicall 10 (see picture of the telephone). 
  •  
  • Connect the other transparent RJ11 connection into the back of your telephone.
 
 
The sockets on the left side of the Amplicall 20 are for the shaker (optional extra) and a mains adaptor.
 
The second input hole on the same side of the unit is used to attach the A/C power adaptor.  Once attached, plug the power unit into the wall socket.
 
The Amplicall 20 can be used on the base provided, or it can be wall-mounted with the screws provided.
 
To connect to the base:
 
  • Place the Amplicall 20 unit on the base, so that the shorter supports on the base are to the front of the Amplicall 20 and the longer supports to the rear.
  • Gently push down on the Amplicall 20 and it will click into place on the base unit.
 
Install batteries to operate the flashing light option:- 
 
  • Place the main unit on the table.
  •  
  • Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit. 
  •  
  • Insert the four AA batteries supplied, making sure the batteries are inserted as per the “+” and “-“ raised markings in the battery compartment. 
  •  
  • Once the batteries have been inserted, close the battery compartment.

To operate:
 
There are four green buttons on the top of the unit:
 
  • At the top on the right hand side is the volume control. The slide switch can be set to your preferred volume or set to “off”.
  •  
  • Below the volume control is the tone control and melody option button, which has 3 setting options.
  •  
  • On the top left hand side is the alarm mode switch, (please refer to Page 4 of the User Guide).
  • Below the alarm mode is the doorbell tone control which gives three choices.
 
The Amplicall 20 and the doorbell are not factory paired, please follow the instructions below:-
 
PAIRING PROCEDURE FOR THE DOOR BELL & AMPLICALL 20
 
  • Press and hold the Pairing/Test button on the back of the Amplicall 20 until the unit makes a beep.
  • Release the button – the 1st LED light should stay on.
  • Press and hold the pairing button again until the 1st LED starts to flash – then at the same time press and hold the remote door bell until the unit flashes and beeps.
 
If you wish to pair a 2nd or 3rd remote bell push to the Amplicall 20:
 
  • Press and hold the Pairing/Test button on the back of the Amplicall 20 until the unit makes a beep.
  • Release the button – the 1st LED light should stay on.
  • To select different LED displays for the extra bell pushes, briefly press the pairing button again and the green LED should light. If the pairing button is pressed a 2nd time, the red LED should light, and a 3rd time, the orange and green together will light.
 
A low-battery warning indicator on the Amplicall 20 glows green if batteries are inserted.
